Changing the color scale interpolator

In exploratory displays, it can be beneficial for users to change the scale in order to discover data areas of interest. By allowing our users to adjust the interpolator, they can focus on value ranges of their interest. The parameter we want to expose is the exponent our exponential interpolator uses:
