In this chapter, you learned the fundamentals of the Macintosh operating system. It is important to have a working understanding of any operating system before attempting forensics on that system. You also learned where to look for log files and what is contained in those logs.
The shell commands that you learned in this chapter are critical. It is important that you remember those and be able to use them on Macintosh computers you examine. It is also important that you understand imaging a suspect Macintosh computer and recovering deleted files.
