Cassandra requires the following (TCP) ports to be accessible:
- 7199: JMX
- 7000: Internode communication
- 7001: Internode communication via SSL
- 9042: Native Binary Protocol for applications and CQLSH
Older versions of Cassandra may require port 9160 to be open for Thrift communication. However, the Thrift protocol was deprecated as of Cassandra 2.2, and it should not be opened unless deemed necessary.
