Tips for success

  • Run Redis on Linux or BSD
  • Better performance on a physical machine, than on a VM
  • Be sure to open port 6379
  • If using Redis Cluster, then also open the cluster bus port, which has an offset of +10000 (default would be 16379)
  • Enable security
