Freenode IRC channels
Many Puppet users and Puppet Labs employees provide ad hoc assistance on the community IRC channels. See the Community Guidelines for details on how to use them.

Engaging Puppet Labs Support

If you find a bug in Puppet, you can submit it to Puppet Labs without a support contract by following the instructions on the Puppet docs site at “Puppet Projects Workflow”.

Puppet Labs provides Enterprise Support Plans for both Puppet Enterprise and Puppet Open Source installations. These plans vary from inexpensive packages of priority incidents, to 24/7 support and Puppet Labs professional services engineers working onsite at your location.

Reach out to them for a custom quote at https://puppetlabs.com/services/support-plans.

Contacting the Author

For any questions or concerns about the book, feel free to contact me at any of the following locations:

I am happy to assist as best I can with ad hoc responses to any issues found in the book or my code examples. Unfortunately, I can only answer when time permits—which varies unpredictably from day to day. But I will respond.

I am rarely able to provide lengthy assistance with a problem unique to your deployment. You should utilize the community or enterprise support offerings previously mentioned.

I have been known to take on short-term consulting projects, but that is rare.

I would be happy to give a talk at your technical conference. Feel free to propose a subject, or ask me what I’ve got ready. I often have DevOps topics I’m prepared to discuss and promote.
