sess_id

Synopsis

The sess_id command is a diagnostic tool that can be used to display SSL session information in human-readable form.

Options

-in filename

Specify the name of a file containing session information. If this option is omitted, stdin will be used.

-inform DER|PEM

Specify the format—DER or PEM—of the input session information. If this option is omitted, the default format is PEM.

-out filename

Specify the name of a file to which output from this command will be written. If this option is omitted, stdout will be used.

-outform DER|PEM

Specify the format—DER or PEM—of the output session information. If this option is omitted, the default format is PEM.

-noout

Cause the output of session output in DER or PEM format to be suppressed.

-text

Cause a human-readable representation of the session information to be output.

-cert

Cause the certificate contained in the session information to be output, if one is present.

-context ID

Specify the session ID that will be used in the output session information. The ID may be specified as any string of characters.
